Getting old..it’s a laugh a minute.

nach

So yesterday..I was sitting in church with my eyes closed thinking about how hungry I was. I imagined myself at a brunch buffet, surveying the offerings, trying to decide if I should eat more breakfast-y or lunch-y stuff..

As we walked out of the sanctuary, I asked my husband if he felt like going out to eat.  The weather was absolutely incredible- blue skies, warm temps..it’s December, but it was so gorgeous, we could eat outside!

He pulled out his phone and made the reservation…I was SO excited! “Just look at us,” I thought..”we are SO spontaneous..”

SO hungry…

SO FORGETFUL!

Half way to the restaurant I heard my husband yelp- “OH NOO!”

I was like..” OH NO WHAAAAT??”

He was like…”I FORGOT WE HAVE TICKETS TO THE ICE HOCKEY GAME!!!”

I was like..”WHAAAAAAAT GAME?????”

Like..like.. I reallly wanna go to brunch!!!!

But I pulled a U-turn while he pulled out his phone to cancel the reservation..quick stop at home to grab my WINTER JACKET CAUSE IT WOULD BE FREEZING IN THE STADIUM 🤨..and off we hurried to the game.

So yeah..the game was actually a good one, but I was pretty crinkled up about missing my sunny, Sunday brunch. I settled for a $5 paper plate of about 14 nacho chips with warm, gelatinous, semi-congealed, simulated cheese product drizzled on top.

You just gotta laugh.
