Philippians 3:12-14

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.  Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

As I wake up this morning I am totally focused on what lies ahead: our move to the Carolinas and what needs to be packed, tossed or donated.

It’s as if God knew I’d need to hit the deck running..

lest I lay down in my now empty nest

all depressed just contemplating “my feathers.”

This is how we are meant to live; unshackled from the sins and regrets of  the past and released from the longing for it…

always leaning forward, eager to fulfill our destinies in Christ.
